How to plan an Outreach
Last night after a peaceful rest the Holy Spirit made it clear to me that I must write in short about what it takes to plan an outreach.
I have never been on an outreach where the people that I met, have not left a lasting impression on me, and I always leave humbled. What an honor to serve a LIVING GOD!!

Child washing clothes
Rural Poverty and Needs
Last year Malan and I taking a walk in the Trankei, trying to experience the feeling of this rural part of South Africa we found this little boy washing clothes next to a stream. We could not communicate with him, him being Xhosa and not understanding English or Afrikaans. I will always remember him. I have so many questions? Where ARE his parents? Is he the only survivor of a family that has been famished by AIDS? You must realize that in the culture of the Xhosa people washing clothes is not a job done by boys.
Upcoming Outreach Project in Gamtoos Valley
We have an outreach to farm schools in the Gamtoos valley on 26 February 2010. Living water will place nine 5000l water tanks at five schools which do not have clean potable water. We make use of the existing gutters or install new gutters to collect rainwater. The coastal area of the Eastern Cape have one of the worst droughts ever experienced and we will try to fill the tanks with water. The water will have to be carted by truck over 100km from a well that have clean water.
Volunteers form a very important part of spreading the Gospel and installing the tanks.
Sponsors for Outreach Projects
We must also thank our SPONSORS. Last year I presented Tracker www.tracker.co.za with a proposal and they made most of the tanks possible by donating money. Thanks.
On the photo you can see some of the kids and their teacher Karien at Kleinplaas primary school. She is the only teacher at this farm school and teaches from grade r to grade 6. Please pray for our teachers. It makes me thankful for all the privileges my kids and I have.
In the short time I am busy with Living water http://www.livingwaterministries.co.za GOD has taught me to wait for His time. When he gave me the vision I thought everything should have happened yesterday. I applied for the registration of the NPO and well, it took over a year to be registered. Having said that, it some times feel as if I am in a roller-coaster. Some time you go down hill with a speed and other times you climb at a slow speed, but GOD ARE ALWAYS IN CONTROL AND KNOW PRECISELY WHERE YOU ARE GOING, even if you do not know.
This morning I read in James 2:26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
IF WE BELIEVE, WE MUST SEE THE SUFFERING, WE MUST ACT ON IT, WE MUST GO OUT AND SPREAD THE GOSPEL, BUT ALSO BLESS THEM WITH STUFF THAT THEY NEED TO SURVIVE WITH, EVERY DAY.
GOD BLESS
